Food Technology

Our students K-6 have the opportunity to participate in cooking lessons in the classroom.  Students, staff and volunteer helpers assist in growing fruit and vegetables in our school veggie garden. Our  free range school chooks lay eggs and the students just love researching recipes where they can make simple recipes at school and then teach their parents at home as part of their homework.

Premier's Sporting Challenge

The students of Bobs Farm participate in this challenge  which includes a range of initiatives with one common purpose - to have more students, more active, more of the time! The Premier's Sporting Challenge aims to engage young people in sport and physical activity and encourages them to lead healthy, active lifestyles.

Sport plays an important role in developing regular physical activity, provides positive health outcomes and is a fun and healthy way to connect with your local community. We invite students to take up the Challenge - and take the path to a healthier life.

Eat It to Beat It

Eat It to Beat It is an exciting new program in the Hunter Region that encourages families of primary school aged children to eat more vegetables and fruits to help prevent cancer.

As part of this program Fruit and Veg boxes supplied by John Rarity Wholesale are offered for purchase to families. These boxes contain seasonal fruit and vegetables which are at a price that offers real value for money. $5.00 from every box sold goes back to support the school.

Crunch&Sip

Crunch&Sip is a break we have around 10:00am each day to eat fruit and drink water. Students 'refuel' to assist with physical and mental performance and concentration in the classroom.

Through Crunch&Sip schools demonstrate their commitment to nutrition education in the classroom, by making links with the curriculum and creating a supportive school environment.
