| History Of Bobs Farm
Public School
Schooling was established in Bobs Farm in 1918 when
the first enrolments were accepted on the 22nd July of that year.
The original building, situated at Tolimba (1901 - 13), on the Cabbage
Tree Road between Williamtown and Tomago, had been dismantled, rafted
down Tilligerry Creek and up along the drains, hauled by bullock
power to the present site and re-erected. It was known as the Provisional
School of Lower Anna Bay until September 1919, when its name was
changed to
Bobs Farm - at about the same time as the Post Office was opened
near Upton's Store. It became a public school in January, 1932.
Unfortunately the building fell victim to white ants
and was replaced by the present building, which was erected in 1928
